An Allergy Test and New Water Mix

Yesterday I spent the day with my mom after having to get poked in the back several times while getting an allergy test. I have the follow-up for that test this afternoon, but from what I was hearing discussed, there was no reactions to the pricks on my back. So far so good there, I think.

Before the test and after I was dropped off by my uncle, my mom and I were hungry since neither of us had eaten yet, so we stopped at McDonald’s to get something to eat. I know. Not the healthiest option for someone on a health Journey, right? I got a sausage egg and cheese mcgriddle, hashbrown, and a caramel iced coffee. My favorite breakfast when I DO eat breakfast there. After that, we went to my appointment.

Once we were FINALLY done with my appointment, we were hungry again and it was lunchtime. It was my turn to buy. We went to one of my favorite little places in Katy, Tx called Baccailis Cafe where I ordered one of my favorite salads ever: the Shrimp and Avocado Salad with a side of ranch. I also ordered a water with lemon. I don’t put the ranch on my salad. I take each forkful and lightly dip it in the ranch. That way I don’t use too much dressing on my salad. I was full and satisfied by the end of the meal and with my salad and what my mom ordered, the check was only $20.24. Not bad, right? We left the waitress a $5 tip and we headed to Kroger to get a few items.

Once at Kroger, I got more drinks than anything else. I found a Korean drink called Milkis which is a carbonated drink in a small can and the flavor was melon. I haven’t tried it yet, but I have tried the strawberry equivalent to it. I got mostly Gatorade Zeros. I tried to get the Bitchin’ sauces I’ve been looking everywhere for but the kind of card I was using to pay for them didn’t pay for those or the Wheat Thins I was going to buy to try the sauces with. I got some in-house made crunch California rolls, plant-based chili, plant-based sausage gumbo, lemons, and avocados. That’s pretty much it.

We headed back to my mom’s place and, not too long after, I found out my boyfriend was willing to pick me up and bring me home so that my dogs didn’t have to go unattended for so long. So after he got off work, he brought me home and hung out with me and my dogs for a bit. I got him to pick my next water flavor mix. He ended up choosing Skittles Pineapple Passion fruit for the powder and Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll for the syrup. I didn’t get a chance to mix it in my water last night because I was still drinking the last mix, but I did mix it up this morning and it tastes a whole hell of a lot better than the last one. I would choose this mix myself not randomly. Sounds like an odd mix, but it’s actually really good.

This morning I made a toasted egg and bacon sandwich with avocado as a spread. The bread I used was Texas toast. I used salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and a tiny bit of Sriracha for a kick on the egg. The sandwich was so good. That’s all I’ve done so far today until I posted the review and this blog. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. And remember: Keep smiling!
