Hello, Pain, my old Friend

I have had pain in the middle of my abdomen today and, as soon as the pain started, this line popped in my head to the music to The Sound of Silence. I bet you won’t be able to get it out of your head now. I found that, even after making dinner for me and my uncle, I don’t want to eat because of the nausea I feel. My uncle isn’t home yet but I made him a plate for when he does get home from work. I made me a plate for when I feel like I can eat. I honestly hate days like this. I got up early this morning and got some things done and actually ate breakfast, but after breakfast, I started hurting so after I got a few chores done, I curled up in a ball under my blanket on my bed with both of my beautiful dogs against my back and ended up falling asleep. When I woke up at 4 pm, I took a shower and made a miniscule dinner of BBQ (already seasoned) chicken drumsticks and canned green beans. Now I’m on the phone with one of my best friends and sitting in my recliner just being blah. The day in the life of a chronically sick person. I guess that’s what you’d call me. I know this blog is pretty boring but this is my life right now. The pain and nausea is sometimes where I can hardly do anything but lay there and sometimes all I can do is cry. I’m ready to take the next steps to cure or treat this crap. I just have to keep my head up and do what I keep telling y’all…Keep smiling!

  1. This is your blog and I think it is very cool that you are learning a new skill. Here is a suggestion that you add breaks in your paragraphs.

A break is like a breath when you are speaking, or reading. As a reader, it is a mental pause and I think it will improve your post.

I like how you ended positive and determined to not to give up. That spirit is admirable. As a person who has had health problems for 40 years – I understand.
